Installation Guide

Follow the steps below to install your theme or plugin correctly. Most installation errors come from uploading the wrong package, so read the troubleshooting section if anything goes wrong.

Install a WordPress Theme

Download the theme ZIP file to your computer.
Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
Go to Appearance → Themes.
Click Add New → Upload Theme.
Select the theme ZIP file and click Install Now.
When installation finishes, click Activate.

Install a Theme via FTP

If the file is too large to upload through the dashboard, install it manually over FTP.

Extract the theme ZIP file on your computer.
Connect to your server with an FTP client such as FileZilla.
Navigate to /wp-content/themes/
Upload the extracted theme folder into that directory.
Open Appearance → Themes in WordPress and click Activate.

Install a WordPress Plugin

Method 1: Upload from the Dashboard

Download the plugin ZIP file.
Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Choose the ZIP file, click Install Now, then Activate.

Method 2: Install via FTP

Extract the plugin ZIP file.
Upload the folder to /wp-content/plugins/
Open Plugins in your dashboard and click Activate.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you upload the installable ZIP package, not the unpacked documentation package.
If you see an upload size limit error, raise your PHP upload limits or install via FTP.
If changes don’t appear after installation, clear your website cache and browser cache.

Purchase Steps

Create an account or sign in. Go to Envato Market and click Sign In, or create a free account.
Add the item and check out. Open the product page, then click Buy Now to pay immediately, or Add to Cart when buying several items.
Enter your billing details. Provide your first name, last name, country, and address.
Choose a payment method. For cards, enter the card number, expiry date, and CVC. For PayPal or Apple Pay, sign in securely to authorize the payment.
Download your files and license. After payment, hover over your username (top right), open Downloads, and click the green Download button next to your item:
- All files & documentation — the full source files.
- License certificate & purchase code — your official activation keys.

Good to Know

Handling fees

Envato adds a small handling fee ($2–$3) on orders under $150. Buying several items in one checkout helps you save.

Payment security checks

Make sure your Envato billing details match your card or PayPal address, so the order isn’t flagged by automatic fraud prevention.

Envato Credits discontinued

The prepaid wallet system has been discontinued for standard buyers. All purchases are now direct, instant payments at checkout.

Seeing “Payment Declined”?

Check your international transaction limit, or contact your bank and ask them to authorize the overseas payment, then try again.
